Either stand your ground and start calling her out on it, or make it your life's mission to be her BFF (kill her with kindness). I know someone that acts pretty similar to her. One time she was walking around like her s*** didn't stink and was obviously wanting people to compliment her on her outfit. Well, i decided to do just that. I went up to her and just completely gushed over how cute her blouse was, and then finished it off by asking where she got it at because I had one just like it once that I found in a thrift store and accidently shrunk it.
Don't get me wrong, I personally love thrift stores, but she absolutely looks down on them, so I just couldn't resist. I guess I have a bit of a mean streak sometimes. Oh well. Seriously though, in your case, you just have to do whatever you feel is gonna make your work environment the best for you, whether that's ignoring her, calling her out, or killing her with kindness. As a last resort, you can always have a group intervention and get HR involved, if things are really bad. 4951
