Some guy, I've seen him around town center, is sleeping behind the library. Saw him there the other night sleeping, too. 4951

I saw someone sleeping in a tent in a wooded area between the golf driving range and the old weird shopping strip on 1960.    It's happening more and more.  4951

@foxymama: Yeah its happening more and more. Rent is around $700 for a single bedroom in Kingwood and employers think $8 dollars is good wages.

@friday1: I think that just means that maybe you should live in a different area?

$8 is a good wage, it's a good wage to motivate someone to do better. It is not meant to be a living wage. 4951

When minimum wage was introduced, it WAS meant to be a living wage. Many seem to have forgotten that little bit of history. 4951

Well let's bump that $8 to $15, then guess what? Your $700 rent jumps to $1400. 4951

If the top management was not so over paid all over the place, businesses could easily afford to pay higher wages. 4951

Did anyone take him something to eat?@thetarget9: Well, there is your problem. @chilladahunWhat's the problem you speak of, my friend?  .....Showing some compassion, kindness and empathy to someone we know nothing of by simply offering this individual some food?  No one mentioned giving him any money - No one mentioned this dude panhandling or begging for cash - No one mentioned this person sucking the Tax Payers dry by misusing, or even being on, any type of Government Assistance or Welfare....  I'm completely about (and shout from the rooftops) the importance of Self Responsibility and Personal Accountability, and I'm also for offering a hand up instead of a hand out, and well, it just seems that offering a hungry stomach a simply meal doesn't really seem like a hand out in my opinion.....

Agreeing with you dear one! Not even aware of this person, so no, not taken any "grubbage". Such an odd word, no? 4951

@muttonI just love you, dude....  I, too, my friend, was unaware of this dude until reading this post....  I'm hoping that someone comes forth with some additional details, as to this "Hobo's" age, if someone recognizes him, etc etc...  I haven't seen the homeless homie, Kenneth, that's usually posted up with his canine compadre by HEB, Chilis and Lowes, for some time now, and well, who knows, this may be him....   I like saying "grubbage" instead of just "food" - "Grubbage"....  Mmmmm, good grubbage is good......  4951
