Very nice baskets. There is nothing wrong with handmade anything. Usually someone not only puts out a lot on supplies but the can spend months making something especially for you. I love handmade gifts. It means they really took the time to think of me.

My neighbor does no baking. She calls it a big fail. I am making her an apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, banana bread and what ever else I decide to make for us. I gave her the heads up so saves her money. She's not telling her family. Lol The last time I gave her some pecan tarts and brownie tarts she was in the middle of a bigger shower disaster. I asked if they liked the. And she said yes I did. After gutting the room and sucking all the water, I sat down and ate every one myself. They were really good. 4951
Cute. If you customize them to easy family member or gift receiver I think it is great. I love getting thoughtful gifts like that. Last year my neighbor gave me a pretty box with lotion, oil perfume, bath soap, and bubble bath. All themed for relaxation. I had just had a massage from her then had our son, so it was a very thoughtful gift. Of course I appreciate any gift I am given, even if I don't particularly like it, it is the thought that counts. But I tend to extra appreciate ones that have some thought behind them as opposed to clothes or something generic. I like to give handmade gifts. I crochet blankies for friends who are having babies. Working on one now that is "due" mid/end Jan. then need one for early/mid Feb. and a third for late April/early May. Then I have to make one for my new arrival due late June/early July! I gotta get that needle fired up!Can't wait till Christmas when we (me, hubs, and SIL) give our gift to my MIL. Can't say what it is because she is on KDC (not sure if she read the forums, so I can't risk it). I know how much she like handmade gifts from her kids, and I really think this one is going to be a homerun. I am super excited about it. It was a Pintrist project. I'll post photos once we give it to her. 4951
