A resident in Lakewood Cove (Laurel Springs Lane) set up a game camera behind his back fence, and captured some interesting activity. He's known for a long time about the bobcats and coyotes that run about in the nearby woods, but wanted to get some photos to warn neighbors about the possible dangers of leaving food, pets, garbage, etc.. out in their back yards. CoyotesBobcats 4951

I'm surprised he didn't catch some of the local kingwood stay-at-home mom's in their nightie trying to capture them to have them post a lost and found thread on this board. 4951

My neighbor and I talked about putting in cameras. Dh and I talked about the wildlife cameras for just checking out what goes on while we are toasty inside. No food or trash anywhere unsecured. We were introduced to a nice opossum family when we first moved in. As far as we know they have moved on. 4951

Neat to see them. I was over looking at an area today by the airport and Foxwood, they are clear cutting that area all the way to cypress creek. Where  are all these little guys going kinda breaks my heart and I am a hunter/outdoorsman, and it still gets me. 4951

Guess they don't call us the livable forest for nothing! I told my husband I thought I saw a giant cat one day and he said I was crazy. Guess I was right! Yikes! 4951

When we moved here in 1993, they were still developing this part (eastern) of Greentree Village.  We often saw dozens of squirrels, rabbits, deer, and raccoon.  As more and more area was cleared, we saw fewer and fewer animals. 4951

@Retired_Engineer: Our house is next to 18 acres of woods. We see all kinds of wildlife, some - like snakes, or the occasional meth head that likes to hang out in the woods - not so great, but I enjoy all the birds, raccoon's, deer etc. We have a bunny rabbit that would come right up to our yard for his evening feast and one morning my husband went out and saw a fox standing at the end of our driveway. I know that one day the property owner is going to sell out to the highest bidder and all the wildlife will disappear, but for now, at least, I can enjoy my surroundings. Well, except maybe the meth dude - he's kinda creepy!
