HPD is looking for any information to help identify 2 suspects that committed an assault and theft Tuesday in Sand Creek Village. At around 2:45PM on December 1, a woman was assaulted and robbed while in her driveway. The incident occurred in the 4000 block of Hill Forest Dr in Kingwood. The victim had been out picking up items she'd purchased online (specifically an XBox1), and also getting lunch. When she returned home, she saw a man walking in her neighborhood. She described him as a Hispanic male in his 20's. She pulled into her driveway and proceeded to eat lunch in her car before going inside. When she exited the vehicle, the above mentioned male rushed up to her, shoved her to the ground, grabbed the XBox1, and ran to a vehicle waiting nearby. The getaway car was described as a newer, blue, two-door car (similar to a Honda Civic). There was a second suspect driving the car, but there was not a description given of him/her. A neighbor attempted to follow the suspects, but lost them on WLH. If you have any info, please call CrimeStoppers at 713 222 - TIPS(8477).  4951

Does she think they may of followed her from the store? How scary for her. These lazy *** people need to get jobs and stops stealing from hard working people. So sad. Hope she is ok. 4951

@2danes: That would be my guess, how else would they know it was worth the risk? 4951

That's what I was thinking too - that they followed her. 'Tis the season... to circle the block before pulling into the driveway. 😕 4951

@2danes: I asked them the same question. He said that's a possibility...Or they were just casing the neighborhood. He added that Christmas time brings out these types of criminals more frequently. Usually they just choose to take packages off porches. Either way, be aware of your surroundings.  4951

I don't think this was the first time this person was in the Sand Creek area. If they were able to elude a neighbor chasing them they obviously knew what turns to make to get on WLH quickly. That is if they were just casing the neighborhood. 4951

Read about this incident earlier. Purchase was made at a store that offers rewards/points for purchases. It was said a neighbor had seen the car/perps hanging around a bit before person came home so the thought is someone at the store tipped them off. They knew exactly what to grab.

If that was me that they tried to rob I pepper spray them and handcuff them behind 4951

@Cornellbalker: Most likely they would not approach you without a weapon of some sort and most likely something more lethal than pepper spray.

I hate carrying weapons when I can defend my self, but on the other hand I would slap that criminal across the face and teach him some values about respect. 4951

Am I the only one wondering why she chose to eat lunch in her car rather than take it inside? 4951

@buffaloglenn: no I wondered too- BUT I can say there were times when I would've done that to get some peace and quiet away from my son having a temper tantrum

Did they mention which store? You can PM, if you don't want to post it.
