Looking for a real christmas tree...don't really care for frasier.  Really looking for a noble in the 9 ft range.  Niatus-most of them aren't looking fresh this year.  Inner branches are very brown and losing needles alreadyHouston Gardens-aren't carrying nobles this year.  Mainly fraiser.Warrens-well, let's just say that I'm not willing to shell out $4-500 for a tree!Anywhere else? 4951

Big Tex on 45 has Noble's for $150 for that height (depending on the tree) I asked them via email and got a reply this morning, we are looking for the same thing, but WOW I don't want to spend that much, but I always hate what we got from Kroger/Lowes, so if anyone has any better value recommendations please let me know.Actually saw some nice ones at the Whole Foods in The Woodlands for a reasonable price, may have to go back at the weekend. 4951

@aggiebutterfly:  WOW, had no idea they were that expensive there...  It is basically a dead tree, or soon will be.  That is insane.

Big business. Buy real too early you risk
Brown tree
festivus pole
Fire

I personally never cared for real. PITA high maintenance all around and then you have to bag it. Find needles in June barefoot.

If I thought bubble wrapping mine would work. I'd be done with it. Lol

Looks like I need something fresh to brighten my Christmas.
Traditional red green and silver.
We shall see 4951

We go up to Lake Livingston and cut ours down every year. I think it was $70 this year, but I have no idea what kind it is.  4951

We were at The Arbor Gate a couple of weeks ago, they had beautiful trees, but I think they were Fraziers.  Their prices seemed better than Warren's, who also has lovely trees.  I really like much sparser trees, so you can really see the ornaments, but I rarely find one.  Kinda Charlie Brown style.

@sweetie: I'm a full-figure fan as well.  Oh wait, we are talking about trees!  Just kidding. That looks like some sort of cedar to me.  Or maybe a fir?

I don't like the big long needles and the really weak branches, I hate the two varieties that seem to grow in Texas, that's why we are stuck with a pre-cut one.but it's finding that balance of price and appearance that is the eternal struggle. 4951

@aggiebutterflyCheck at Lowes, dude....  We got ours at the Lowes in Atascocita, and I can say that their selection, variation of Christmas Trees, and prices, were quite nice.....                                             ~ Merry Christmas ~

Bought a nice noble at the new Kroger on NP but they didn't have many. Paid 59- for a 7ft and the 9 and above they had were 100. Might be worth a look.

Ours is a very full and nice tree. 4951
