I've been watching movies all weekend, and Liam has been in a lot of movies lately I guess he's the new Gene Hackman. Meaning he is going to break his record for putting out the most movies in consecutive years being the leading star.

One could say he is keeping himself busy since the death of his wife a few years ago.

I was forced to watch Up All Night the other day...ok, the first Taken was good and his calm demeanor made him a total apparent badass...he is now the exact same character in every movie. It's old. 4951

I agree with type cast of characters he's playing. He needs to broaden the roles he takes going forward. If I were his agent I would tell him this, but hey, money talks.

I think the movie you are referring to is Run All Night. 4951

@BooBear:  Agreed.  He is a great actor but he is too old for action movies.  He needs to take on other roles.

@Retired_Engineer:
Reminds of the Lethal Weapon movies, by third one they were just too old to pull it off... 4951

Lol, too old or looks too old? He is 62, Stallon is 69 and he too is still doing action movies. It funny you say that he is too old because I was watching another movie last night with Jean-Claude Van Damme. It was titled Enemies Closer (BTW it was a good action movie) and he looked old and tired for 55, not sure if this was done on purpose or not for the movie/role. When he was younger he was so good looking, his skin has took a turn for the worse and you can tell it's from consuming too much alcohol or abusing it. 4951

I like his Taken movie trilogy and I also liked his movie "The Grey". He was super awesome in that role. 4951

at his age, he is nearing the end of his run just like any other profession. i would assume he is therefore banking all the bucks he can to see him through his retirement instead of ending up hawking flooring or insurance in some cheapass ads. 4951

I find his recent roles lacking, certainly no match for Shindler's List. But I still like him. He seems to have kept his career at least on track with acting after the tragic death of his wife. 4951

@bubbleyes72:   Both.  It's ridiculous to see Neeson, Stallon, Arnold S, Jean Claude VD, and others in action movies now.  The Expendables had most of the old action movie has-beens.

@CBP210:  "The Grey" was a great movie, but I wouldn't call it an action movie.  The ending was interesting.

@Chrisinkingwood: I thought they were great together along with Jodie Foster in Nell. His roles in Nell and Kinsey shows the range of his talent especially now that we see him in action roles.
