They have been keeping this top secret. It replaces the SRX. Tomorrow will be the official debut at the Dubai Auto show but it is already on their website. Used the gift of gab to make the wife hold out for it. Will be getting it in a couple of months. I must have looked at every car in this class. Audi and Lexus are nice but not enough power.   www.cadillac.com/fut ure-vehicles/xt5-cro ssover.html 4951

I still don't understand why cadillac hasn't come up with a car like the traverse/Acadia! 4951

Great, but..... Word of the wise...Don't buy a new type of vehicle in it's first year of production. Let alone, a year early. This is the glitch phase where the kinks are worked out.Learned that lesson not once, but twice.  4951

I  did not look at any GMC products. We looked at Lexus, Audi, Mazda. Lexus and Audi really lacking in power, Mazda as well and cheap interior which I knew it would be from owning an Rx-8. Great car, cheap, cheap interior materials. Cadillac just kinda put it all together. It's not the best in terms of quality but overall it won the race for us.    4951

@Brat: Yeah, I know that but my wife's car is 10 years old. She is not going to accept that fact. I made her wait for this car so I have no more rope.

It's the same engine I believe, just slightly more refined. I know GM does not have some of the tech stuff of the Cadillac. 4951

@beastmode: Sounds like me when I got my two vehicles which were first year productions. I'm not just talking domestic, foreign too. First car, I was without for 2 weeks for tranny issue. 2nd car, I was out with for a month waiting on the steering column and shaft to be delivered from Germany. Some things can wait even through temptation. Don't do it dude.

Go drive the rest in that class is all I can say. The Lexus is an old grandma turtle. Audi, like I'm sitting in concrete just like our BMW. Not comfortable for a long commute or trip. Not too concerned about it being first year, it's basically the same car as the SRX it replaced just some upgrades. It's an SRX, not a completely new car.   4951

Yeah, the looks are not stellar for sure. It's not easy on the eyes like an Audi, BMW or Lexus but it kinda takes the best stuff of all of them and even makes some of it better. Like Audi, they refuse to put a touch screen in their cars, they have this stylus and dial system, something about safety. That's great but it takes longer to get around their interface.    4951

We love gm cars! But I'd love a car with 3rd row that wasn't over $70 like the escalade. A girl can dream 4951

My Kia Sonata has a 3rd row seat plus lots of room for storage. I almost purchased a Caddy but the price tag stopped me dead in my tracks ..$94,000.00 my Kia Sonata was $24,000 . We paid cash for it & have now had it 6 years , no problems  at all . Hubby wants me to get a new vehicle  cause I have 46,000 miles on my van . I'm looking at the Nissan , there top model is $48,000. it's big  has 3rd row seats & lots of storage . I just do not like the colors this year so maybe next year .  4951

@FoFa:
Sweet, sweet ride... Just a little out of my budget. Someone down the street from my has something similar in red. I drool on it when I take the dog for a walk. 4951
