#headtiltAccording to Mental Floss, dogs are actually tilting their heads in such a way to empathize (which, yeah, is pretty adorable) with you, or at least try to. Which makes sense. Most of us who have had dogs in our lives know that they are particularly good at reading how you are feeling.Because they are the most loyal and also just the best. No really, that’s a fact.Plus, having a dog as a BFF has been scientifically proven to boost our mood and make us feel way less stressed. And they also encourage us to exercise more, because they want the very best for us. #DogsForTheWin 4951

I have 3 poodles & they are with me 24 / 7  , they know my moods & how I feel . Example: a friend of mine fell & broke her arm & shoulder  & when her husband called to tell us  I was very upset over the news , my 3 poodles came & sat on top of me in the recliner & licked my arms & hands letting me know they understood my sadness.  I love my 4 legged fur babies for sure ! 4951

I agree with the OP.  I also like to whistle and my dogs will just look at me and turn their heads, especially when I hit certain notes.  The expression on their faces is more like "why are you annoying us?". 4951

We can ask the grandpups "Do you wanna....."  (wait for go on a car ride, take a walk, get a treat) and they will tilt their head anticipating the rest.  I know they can have the IQ of a five year old - sometimes scary but always lots of fun! 4951

@WJo: Back when I was showing dogs many of the poodle handlers thought they were the most intelligent and easiest breed to show except of course for the grooming part.

my dad had a poodle and he was the smartest dog I've ever seen! so easy to train, and he could do every trick! when he died, it was the only time I've ever seen my dad cry. 4951
