A motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into an suv in Humble on 1960 this afternoon. The child was life - flighted, but did not survive. I can't even imagine...
Rest in Peace, innocent one. God bless this family. 4951

@topcatMy beautiful hubbs actually works in downtown Humble, and travels this route (on 1960) to and from home....  He called me on his way home this afternoon, as usual, shortly after 3, and the traffic was already backed up past Wilson Road....  He didn't know what the dealio was, nor did I, so he had to re-route his travels thru Kingwood to finally get to the casa....  He came in just as I was watching the unfortunate tragedy that a four year old tragedy had been killed in a wreck on the News at 4....   I only heard that a SUV and a Motorcycle was involved, but no additional details....  Did the lady driving the SUV pull out in front of him?   4951

@herron1345: The picture i saw the truck was hit on the right. I don't know if he was riding the shoulder or in the right lane. That wasn't a 50 mph wreck. It ripped half the truck and the helmet came off and stuck the child.

@friday1So, was the driver turning left onto Moonshine Hill from 1960, and turned in front of the Motorcyclist (possibly traveling at a high rate of speed?) ....Is that what happened?  And did the Motorcyclist die? 4951

@herron1345:
I heard this on the news just a little while ago but that the motorcycle was in the left lane behind a car then suddenly got in the right lane going at a high rate of speed and hit the turning SUV. I'm sorry to hear that the child died very sad.

Okay, dudes, so before we go this Motorcyclist Witch Hunt, let's just review the obvious FACT here: Some News outlets reported a four year old child as being as fatality, I heard it myself on the Local 2 News at 4, when in-fact, the child is still actually alive....  In Critical Condition, but most thankfully, still alive..... And it just seems to me, that in almost every scenario that's been presented so far, as the actual FACTS are obviously still unknown, that the driver of the SUV Emoticonulled out in front of the Motorcycle....  The Motorcycle may have been speeding, and possibly driving at a high rate of speed, but if the driver of the SUV pulled out in front of him, there's no way that he could stop in time....  I mean, shouldn't the driver of the SUV made sure that the area was clear and safe before turning..... EDIT:  I've just learned that this young child has so unfortunately passed from the sustained wounds.....  My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this young, innocent, beautiful baby boy, as well as to all of those affected by such a horrific tragedy, including the First Responders and all hospital personnel who tried so desperately to save his life....      4951

Originally they said it was a fatality, then it was updated to this an hour ago:A four-year-old child and a motorcyclist were both injured in a major wreck in Humble this afternoon.The accident happened on FM 1960 at Moonshine Hill shortly before 2pm. A Ford Expedition was struck on the passenger side by a motorcycle. Witnesses at the scene say the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed.Sgt. Mike Harvey with the Harris County Sheriff's Office says witnesses say the motorcyclist was sent flying into the family's SUV, and his helmet struck the four-year-old.The little boy was in the rear seat in a child safety seat. Witnesses reportedly removed the boy's seat from the SUV, while he was still strapped in.The boy was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and then transferred to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight. The motorcyclist was also taken to Memorial Hermann by Life Flight. Both are listed in critical condition.Witnesses report two other children were in the SUV, but they were not seriously injured. The children's mother was driving.Either way it's terrible for all involved. Emoticon  4951

@herron1345:
I drive that route home and saw the scene around 4pm. I was talking with a friend last night who's manager saw the accident happen. He said the motorcyclist was weaving in and out of traffic on 1960 and he was turning onto moonshine Hill at a fast rate when he struck SUV. He was in shock when he got back to work and ended up going home. I hope the motorcyclist get charged with manslaughter for his stupidity and carelessness causing an innocent life to be needlessly taken. Oh this is just heartbreaking! I've already cried I don't know how many times already. I pray that the family looks to God for comfort during this horrible time.
