I'm doing great -- haven't been riding all year -- just focused on running.  Longest I've been healthy and was able to do 2 FM this year.  Did Chicago 10/11 and while it was wall-to-wall people I managed a 6 min PR and 1st in AG.  But I've got a fabulous coach and the credit goes to her for getting me where I need to be.  The husband has been riding and also goes with me on long runs.  Man it was HUMID out there this morning!!Hubby has had knee replacement -- old style which leaves  him only able to ride.  Apparently there are now a "few" doctors who do some new type where they say you can run post-surgery.  When he has to replace his replacement that is what he is going to look for.--this is digressing from the lost dog but I'll throw this out there re bad knees.  My friend has had a TERRIBLE problem with her knees and let me tell you she has done EVERYTHING ... she finally said I cannot just run.  Meaning she'd train and she'd be injured, etc.  Once she started focusing on TRIs she found that the training was perfect for her body.  She started with a few sprints -- even first doing the swim part in a pool.  She now finished a half ironman last weekend.  She isn't "perfect" as far as injuries go, but this works better for her knees and the rest of her body..  So has hubby done any swimming (along with all the biking he already does) as cross training. @iwaveatcows: That's great!!! Wow you're a little speed demon. For hubby- he's got bone on bone on both knees ( Army injury from jumping out of Helios) so not much can be done except replacements. We're focusing on run/walks and building to 5K. I'm faster doing that than out right jogging- BUT way slower than you!!!
I hope the owners are found- they really should be using a lead to run that dog!!
