I have a friend back in NJ who is a beautician.  She has a small poodle and is always dying it different colors.  I always thought that was bad for animals.  Her dog is over 10 and she has been doing it for years so I guess it isn't harmful. 4951

My girls dyed the top of my dog's head pink once. It's was semi-permanent so by the end of the summer it had all washed out. The kids thought it was funny. The dog was not impressed. 4951

My dd is a dog groomer and has a little Pomerainian. She keeps her in a lion cut- a mane - shaved body an a Pom on the tail. She used to dye her- one time she was pink and one time she was teal. She only used vegetable dye as regular hair dye is too harsh. She actually looked very cute. My dd still keeps the Lion cut - a closer shave in the summer ( because of the heat) and longer body fur in the winter 4951

I dye my papillons tail from time to time. I use vegetable dye & make sure it doesn't touch her skin. She actually seems to like it, she's a prissy little thing. Plus it washes out in about two washes, so it's no big deal.  4951

We have never done it before but if we wanted to where would we get the dye from ? We usually get him groomed every 3 months a little sooner in the summer I'm not sure what the cut is called but we leave his head and tail puffy and shave down the rest . He likes to go visit the groomer since all the ladies love on him ... 4951
