1: the 'off-leash' owner
I get it, your dog is a precious snowflake that would never hurt a fly. Well that won't stop me from drop-kicking it's growling little body (in reality, a stout bulldog) to the curb when he charges my leashed dog on the greenbelt because your law-breaking butt is in the culdesac 30 yards away.

2: the 'I don't pick it up, it's biodegradable' owner
No 💩 It's biodegradable. But it takes a lot of rain to wash it away and we don't get that regularly so pick it up! Kids step in it. I step in it. My dog seems to find it interesting. Just ew. Carry a bag & act like a grownup.

3: the 'two ginormous dogs on 20' retractable leashes' owner
Ok. You win this one and that just sucks. The off-leash dog is one direction & you're coming from the other. There's officially nowhere for me to walk my dog on her sturdy 6' leash with the doggie doo-bag dispenser attachment safely without the worry of a negative interaction. My girl is friendly. She assumes all others are too. She wants to meet your dogs but there's no way you can control that bunch. I. Give. Up. 4951

My husband never leaves home without the "bag."  Our old neighborhood had loose dog problems.  Almost every week, he would come home with a stray. 4951

@RogueHippEE:

This wasn't a stray though. It's owner was up the path at their house just off the greenbelt and only called her dog after I started screaming at it because it was advancing on us while growling. 4951

Oh, don't get me started on  people who don't pick up their dog's poop! That is just so inconsiderate. For some reason, people believe it's OK to leave it in the grass along the greenbelt trails as long as it's not on the sidewalk. 4951

Yup. And then there's the ones that leave it right in the middle of the paved path. How do you not notice your dog pooping in the middle of the path? 4951

@Leauxl: I'm with you... I carry my poop bags and pick up. What is getting out of control in the Hunter's Ridge area is the poop actually on the paved surface. Really? Grass, weeds, etc are less than a foot away. You had to know you dog stopped to do it's duty. If you don't feel you need to pick it up at least move it off the paved surface...

I can't stand people who bring yappy little dogs into stores and put them in the carts. Because that is what i want, my son to have to sit in a cart with animal feces and hair because you think your dog is a person. Or to have it yapping or growling at people as they shop. It is a dog. Leave it home like everyone else. It does not belong in Lowes, Home Goods, CVS, etc. 4951

I'm with you. I try to walk my 2 danes later in the evening to avoid stupid dog owners. Mine are in harnesses and a short strap lead beside me. I have trained them not to go anywhere but their location in the yard but I still have a bag in case of emergencies. I just love rounding a corner on the trails to find a little yapper ( I can say it cause I have them also) on a retractable leash attached to a small child. As the little dog is dragging the kid barking at me and my dogs I'm praying please let me be able to hold back 300+ lbs as I'm getting mine to sit and ignore or turn around and leave it. They are not mean but any dog will become defensive and protective when threatened. I love dogs but starting to dislike people. 4951

I'm not a dog lover but my wife loves her dogs. What she does not love; cutting grass or picking up their mess in it. That stance has caused us much grief. If I am going to cut the grass, it is her duty to pick up their dooties. We finally came to an understanding and she now picks it up every morning before work. Thank You. I can now mow the lawn without having to hose off my shoes. Impasse crossed. I maintain the yard, you take responsibility for your animals.  4951

Oh wow I didn't think people were allowed to bring animals in stores..yucky.
Although in Florida back in the day...I had no choice but to bring my friends lemur into Publix..I got in the door and got kicked out 😋

When I worked in the restaurant industry, I actually had someone ask me for a grilled chicken breast for their dog. In the restaurant. On a plate. On the floor. 😐

Don't get me wrong, I love my dog like my third child, but that's extreme.

There is a list of animal friendly stores.  I think Macy's is on it. , Lowes banned pet back in May but there are quite a few other stores I wouldn't even think about taking my dog to.  I don't even take her to Pets Mart.

People claim they are "companion" animals. While there are legit C.A. Most people take advantage. You can get fake certificates online for less than $100. A lot of people think a C.A. is the same as a service animal and it is not. A service animal is trained to perform a specific task, like alerting of a seizure while a companion animal just makes you feel happy. Huge difference. Any animal can be a companion animal. Most businesses are afraid to say anything because people scream discrimination because they say they need the animal for a disability. Truth is, companion animals are not legally protected like service animals and a lot of **** bag people take advantage of it. A blind person or a person who suffers from seizures can bring their legally certified service animal anywhere. Susie who has some "condition" where she feels better when fluffy is around, is not. Plain and simple. It is really irritating that people try and take advantage when there are legit service animals out there. You know a service dog when you see them, they are better behaved that most of the people in the area. Some tappa or I'll behaved dog in the same store, nipping at people and peeing of the floor while the owner pretends like they don't see it? No so much 4951

@allymansfield: My parents recently went on a cruise out of Boston and up the coast towards Canada. They were shocked at how many people were carrying around their little dogs labeled "Comfort Companion". Why would anyone want to take a dog on a cruise?? Where does it stay when they go on excursions? Where does it relieve itself? Why would the owner think that's in the best interest of the dog?  I love my little dog and take him in the car with me when I know I'm just picking kids up and not getting out, but I would never take him on a vacation -especially a cruise!
