Its called progress. Things don't stay the same forever enjoy it while you can. You can move out to BFE Wyoming if you have money and enjoy the rural setting for years if thats your point.Â
@friday1: Progress.  That would be laughable if it weren't such a sad state of thinking.  We have plenty of places to shop and places that are run down to re-establish businesses.  It's not progress - it's convenience.  Convenience puts a mini mart on every other corner and it's why cheers go up every time another fast food establishment opens.  And yes, I know I'm barking up the wrong tree here (no pun intended) as I'm in the extreme far minority.  I don't expect any of this will change as we as a species have lost all respect for earth and sky.  Some (many?) claim the bible as their authority for using flora and fauna as we see fit, some it's just pure unadulterated greed, some may be truly filling a need.  I'm sure many are happy that there will no longer be an apartment complex there to bring nearby property values down, and some that just have it in them to look down on those living in apartments won't have to experience them living so close. I guess in the end we'll have yet another sparkling new shopping center that will employ people at minimum wage, collect more petroleum waste runoff from the myriad vehicles that will travel through and park there, as well as further contributing to the urban heat island effect. To conclude, according to your own quote regarding the state of things forever, and the current pace of mankind's  "progress", BFE Wyoming, and other BFEs for that matter, will eventually cease to exist.  Maybe the sun will have gone nova by then and it won't matter. 4951
