I am in need of winter vacation ideas. My daughter wants to see snow. Something with fun things to do for a 3 year old.

@donnatella:
Yes, I love Colorado. But have never been with a preschooler in tow. She can't ski or hike. 4951

Glenwood Springs in Colorado has the hot springs pools, I like Hotel Colorado right next door, it's older, historic.  Sunlight ski area is nearby, very small, I loved taking my kids there, not as overwhelming as the big resorts.  When they're little you can ski with them between your legs on the easy slopes or ski backwards.  Warning, when they get too big that doesn't work that well, they make you wipe out!  You're not that far from Aspen, you can go check the town out.  You can also take the tram up and visit the caves in Glenwood Springs.  4951

Miserable place. Everyone is happy in the morning, holding hands, excitedly skipping to each attraction...by 1pm, moms are dragging the kids around and poor dad is trying to tote a 6 year old on his back. By 6pm, dad has told the kids mickey mouse has been in an accident and is dead and they are closing the park. 4951

@BooBear: LOL.  I had a friend who worked there during college.  Apparently Disney is not only the happiest place on earth, but also the gayest.  I don't remember the statistic, but a large majority of the employees are gay.  Thought that was kind of odd, but then when you think about it, it's a bunch of theater people, so yeah.  He was (I guess still is) a gay man and said it was a disaster of gay drama on the staff.  "Gaston cheated on Captain Hook, who is sleeping with The Prince.  But the Prince is also hooking up with Ariel because he is bi, but Ariel is a hoe...."  I couldn't keep up!  LOL

I can't guareentee snow but there is a wonderful lodge just outside of Branson called Big Cedar Lodge. it was built by the owner of Bass Pro Shop.  It is a beautiful amazing palce for all ages, but great for families and beautiful around holiday time. They do bonfires with S'mores, carriage rides, carols, the whole shebang.  Just a short drive away is Silver Dollar City which does a Winter Wonderland theme during December.   ▶ 18:10 4951
