you have to remember journalism in general has suffered the last 10 to 12 years as newspapersand other forms of media have laid off staff reporters. it seems themedia laid off those with more experience and seniority to save on operational costs without having a view to what that would do to their product. that is why you have dumbshits who can't seem to write coherent accounts of the news and impart actual factual information spreading gobbledygook and failing at their jobs.
@ProblemAgain: I started reading newspapers at an early age because it was a good example of spelling and grammar. Now, I find myself shaking my head at the frequent errors. TV news has shifted from reporting the news to entertainment. We also get biased news depending on the source.

@Maisey1:You must not be looking at the subscription version of the Houston Chronicle. The online version is an exact copy of the printed version excluding sales flyers from Wednesday and Sunday. I get the paper version delivered on those days. If you are looking at chron.com, that's just a free news blog with only bits and pieces of the full newspaper.
