No, Slick, it's just that your "analogy" makes zero sense. You see for these things to make sense, there must be context. Comparing immigration to an ant bed or a mosquito in your house is probably a teeeeeeeeeny bit of an over-simplification, eh? Sorry that you've been thinking about that one for a couple of days and you thought it was profound, but it's trash.I must admit, I've read posts on this site for over a year now...many dumb ones...and your post is the first one that has actually been bad enough to entice me to actually sign up and reply. My God.."If we don't _____, then that could lead to bad things in the future." Groundbreaking insight!! Thank God your work's yard guy fell asleep on the job for our education's sake! Â Just...wow. Great job, Nietzsche...
@FullMoon:
Wow, so you've been trolling the site for a year and the first thing you do as a contributor is to bash someone else. Gee, we're just so happy you decided to grace us with your presence! If this is how you introduce yourself, perhaps you would do better to just continuing trolling?
Perhaps you think this is an over-simplification of a huge issue, but I would argue that perhaps our politicians and media are trying to overly complicate the issue. Most other countries take people sneaking across their borders very seriously, why shouldn't we? We could debate the why's and how's and the what if's until the cows come home, but it doesn't solve anything. So how about we do what desperately needs to be done now (secure the borders), and then try to figure out what to do with the illegals who are already here. What is so difficult about that? At least by securing our borders you stop adding to the problem. It's a whole lot easiers to deal with 12 million illegals than 20 or 30 million.
