I'll say this.
My tattoos are not for you, they are for me. They are my scars that have made me who I am. Your approval is not requested.
Yes they are the stories of my life. They can make me laugh, and make me cry. Just like I, once young and bright, I grow older, fading and wrinkling along the way. None of that fades those memories, the laughter or the tears.
These scars, these stories are no different than yours, I just wish to carry them another way.
You may judge me by what you see, but that's on you and nothing about me. I don't judge you by the way you walk, or a scar I see upon your face. I don't whisper and look cross eyed, I don't judge your choices in life, the way you dress or adorn yourself.
So you go ahead and judge me if you must. That's about you and nothing to do with me. I'll still smile, I'll still cry. These pictures to me are more than fading art.
I sit and listen to your heart because that's the very most important part.
