Interesting. Here are a few thoughts. I often end up sitting behind Humble ISD school buses that use a flashing brake light in the center of the bumper. Sure it gets attention but it is really annoying after a while and I usually put my hand up to block it. Furthermore some folks who are epileptic can have seizure triggered by flashing lights. I wish they would just flash for a moment as the vehicle stops and then stay red. One thing a lot of kids do to their cars is add dark lenses to the rear and front lights. It should be illegal as it decreases the visibility of the vehicle when stopping. I don't think it is illegal in Texas but it should be. As for some things being illegal in other countries the cars are just one small thing. For instance the electrical code in the UK still will not allow any electrical outlets other than for electric razors in the bathroom. And light switches in bathrooms are often a pull cord or string instead of a wall switch. I drives my wife nuts in the UK when she want to use a hair dryer or curling iron! 4951
The strobe lights on buses are insane. Even though my daughter is and has been seizure free for a few years, a strobe can still trigger a seizure, it actually can even in non seizure disorder people. Closing her eyes doesnt help, looking away only helps minimally. They need to take them off or at least not the lights where they are eye level with most cars. 4951
I had never thought about satellite radio not being available everywhere. I love mine. It is probably the best investment for road trips ever! I used to commute to Corpus every week so trying to find a radio station could get a bit difficult. 4951
