Hey guys! I am interested in starting a vanpool from Kingwood to the
University of Houston. I currently ride the bus, and it is taking me
2-2.5 hours (one way) to get there. Is anyone else interested? I can't
drive (because of epilepsy) but I will happily chip in for gas and
reduced time, stress and overall exertion. 4951

You started another thread like this already. Sorry Kingwood is the commute unfriendly part of town. Hope you find a ride. 4951

Why are there three separate posts about this? Isn't the same info under the "Vanpool" thread? 4951

I did numerous ones because I've never used this site before. I wanted to get as many eyes as possible and I wasn't exactly sure how that would happen. I'm sorry if I've done something incorrect; social media isn't exactly my thing. 4951

@jlh0147:

Post as much as you like! I hope you find some folks to hitch a ride with. My dd has epilepsy, but it's not to the extreme that yours sounds to be. Good luck! 4951

I would think you could get ssi to offset the cost of transportation to work. Or live closer to work. 4951

I wish I could help you but my commute is 2 hours as well. No fun. I work in the WestChase area, off of Westheimer and Beltway 8. I feel your pain. Hope you find someone. 4951

Have you tried  posting something at the college? Also, depending on what part of Kingwood you live in, you could post on the other forums. 4951

@jlh0147: Just keep bumping the thread by posting something on it.  I can try to do it for you from time to time until you find someone.

Why so long? I use the park and ride and then take the train... usually about 1.5 hours. I am not sure what time your classes are or if you have tried the train (purple line). Shoot my a private message and I can see if I can help you out! 4951

I'm just at a different part of campus than you. I take the Park & Ride, red rail & 4. I could take the purple rail instead, but it would drop me off at a different part of campus, and then I'd have to finish the last leg by walking. No biggie unless it was raining (or cold). I'm a bit of a wimp when the weather turns south.  4951

Could you do the Park and Ride, the Purple and then the COOG line from infront of Flemming? That is such a bummer that it takes so long. Also, have you tried talking with University Services? I know at UT and aTm , they would have a service that would help people out who couldn't drive to different parts of campus? Just a thought.  4951
