And again, so far from the store, must be at least a 3 second walk.

ok.......you know, those carts you show happen to be by handicapped spaces, and when you get old and a bit more broken than in your youth, perhaps you'll understand how that "3 second walk" can be too much......I do this most every time I go but I make sure they are left in the lined no parking areas so they don't get in anyone's way......and besides, I, too, kinda like being able to have one already near my car when I pull into one of the handicapped spaces to assist me getting into the store......don't be so judgmental.....you, too, will get older and break down and have health issues......a 20 year old wouldn't understand but you need to hear the other side...... 4951

@magnoliamam:
Some need those lined areas to get in and out of vehicles...especially ones in vans with chair lifts. DH has a lift and is unable to get out if they are blocked. Just another side to the story. 4951

I think @fofa might be a tick over 20, and is also familiar with health issues, but finds a way to not leave the cart in random places in the lot. Maybe you missed the ten page debate on cart returns. 4951

@magnoliamam: And then we can not deploy the ramp on my wife's handicapped van. So I have to get out, move the cart/s so we can deploy the ramp.
I fully understand. How inconsiderate it is to have move someone else's cart so my wife can get out or in the van. 4951

@FoFa:
Same here and agree! Sometimes DH goes without me and has to take up two lanes farther out just to get out of van! People have no clue till they or someone they love are in the shoe, sad it takes that to understand. 4951
