The so called war on cops is a fabricated by the corporate media. Factually speaking gunfire deaths by police officers are down 27 percent this year, according to the Officer Down memorial page, and police killings in general are at a 20-year low. Meanwhile citizen deaths at the hands of police are on track for a 3 year high.Everyone here that wants to cop worship is FINE in doing so. Please continue to mark your vehicles with Thin Blue Line accessories so I know who to aggressively maneuver the hell away from on my commute.Most here admonish me over my open disdain for LEO's. Fact is I don't HATE cops, I have some that are customers, some family of friends.... but in the same token you'll never see me shed a tear for one cut down because of crap like this:I don't even care what the guy did or is accused of doing. It doesn't matter. Nothing justifies trying to cave a mans skull in because you're upset he isn't respecting your perceived authority.Full video:http://filmingcops.com/four-officers-beat-a-mans-head-with-their-clubs-yelling-you-wanna-fight/Fact is every life lost at the hands of a murderous lunatic on power trip is another life too many. 4951

I feel your pain MTechnique as the saying goes. I don't hate police but I dislike when some loose sight of their mission and oath. Sadly there are some bad apples and in a society where police have a lot of power this can be a bad thing. I think in the past few years we have seen some examples of bad police work as well as some situations where police may have been in a situation where they felt threatened and reacted. Not defending bad actions just commenting on it. I sometimes wonder if some police are prone to be overly zealous in some cases since the public has such easy access to guns. I'm not Second Amendment, just being realistic. 4951

Its not so much a war on cops or a war against people. 99.9% of people who get killed by cops put themselves in those positions by choices they make. There are also plenty of times the cop is in the wrong and there are also some cops who abuse their power so it is always best not to try and test them. If encountered by police, comply with their orders and show respect. Its that simple. You have a really good chance of not getting your *** kicked or shot that way.

If anything there needs to be a war on stupidity. 4951

Cops have a terribly tough job. There are SOME morons out there that PAIN is the only lanquage they understand. I dont thing cops want to inflict pain for no reason. But some of these *****s deserve every damn bit of if. I stand with the officers 100 percent of the time. Sure, they are only human, and do make mistakes. I could never be a cop. I would be in jail the first day on the job. 4951

You must believe in Aliens too, I am sorry but I go daily without any interaction with cops because I do the right thing and obey they law. Many people in those positions are there because they put themselves in that position. I agree they over use there force in some instances but the reason we see it now more than ever is because more and more people are pulling out their phones and recording. This isn't the first time it has happened and it won't be the last. 4951

@MTechnique:
I feel the good out number the "bad" by a truly long shot! I support those who put themselves at risk on a daily basis. And no, this is not against you, just how I feel. 4951

Read what you wrote, your remark as posted above was distasteful and you are flat out taking a slap at people who do support the police with symbols on their vehicles, while there are bad people in every profession, the BS that took place downtown with Officer Goforth was absolutely sickening to most in our community, and quite honestly I support every branch the Emergency Services.
But I also understand that everybody has their own opinion, you have yours and I have mine, that's one of the things that makes this Country great! 4951

I have always wondered who cop haters call when they need help. I will never know. I respect those who serve and protect. 4951

and me avoiding people with thin blue lines on their cars has nothing to do with their support of cops. It's just another silly mass media driven trend that people get sucked into, and will soon die off, but not likely before the sticky residue on the back of that blue tape turns into concrete.I avoid them, for the same reason I do people with stick figure family stickers, bumper dents, otherwise half-wrecked cars, or just most Honda's and Toyotas in general. Because I think you can't drive, and I don't want to meet you. 4951
