>> Hell we should be putting caution hot on the microwave and oven too. I've burned my fingers picking up plates from the microwave. Guess I should sue the plate company and GE for making my food too hot!
And let's not forget the snow cone makers, Bahama bucks. Damn brain freeze.
@aggiebutterfly:
Are you okay? You seem to be getting more worked up than usual.
@Mahm: yeah, i'm fine. Â this really wasn't directed at you, although it's on your thread. Â it was more directed to the lady who sued mcdonalds. lol
@aggiebutterfly:
It's not my thread. Lol.
On the surface, the story about the lady who sued seemed frivolous, but I read it more in depth a year or two ago and I get it. She was hospitalized for a while, needed skin grafts, etc. And the amount of the suit was not her idea. It was meant to set a precedence or something like that. I need to read it again.
@Mahm:
This is so true, many people read what the media puts out and determine it's frivolous when in reality the coffee was entirely too hot for consumption and gave her 3rd degree burns. When she tried to get MacDonald's to pay her medical bills they offered her a very tiny amount so she was in a way forced to sue. The jury actually awarded her millions but a judge reduced it to less than 700K, they settled for an undisclosed amount. From what I understand, she died before ever seeing a cent of that money. 4951
