I usually carry my SIG P228 in my IWB holster or my 511 tactical shirt. I have friends who carry the Kimber Ultra carry also in IWB holsters. They both are great but if you are looking for price than SIG is a little more cheaper. 4951

You also might want to consider a Smith&Wesson MP Shield as it is reliable, cheaper, and has a great reputation. A lot of my coworkers are carrying this for concealed carry.http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product4_750001_750051_809560_-1_780153_757781_757781_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y 4951

@CBP210:

We were at the gun show in Conroe today and i really liked the grips on the Kimber and Sig. I just wondered about the pro and cons to each. Plus either one would fit in my purse. My Cz 20 75 just wont fit. Emoticon 4951

I am not sure about your experience in shooting but you also have to consider Kimber 1911 are single action pistols which you have to keep it cocked to be ready which could be an issue if you carry it in your purse as compared to the SIG as most of them are double action and might be a better option for purse carry. 4951

@Nurse3: Definitely let them know how you plan to carry. Me personally I prefer the IWB holsters and you might want to look into this as a preferred method.

The SIG Sauer P226 was the first 9mm I bought and I still love it.  I bought a SIG P239 in 9mm  to carry but it's sort of bulky.  I have a Ruger LCP and LC9 that are more concealable.  I plan to get a Ruger LC9s Pro.  It's the second generation of the LC9, and Ruger really made great improvements.I've never been a fan of the 1911 style of pistols.  The first one I ever shot was an old GI version and it left me with a bad impression.  The trigger was horrible.   However, I have since  shot a Colt Gold Cup and some other variations of 1911s and have been pretty impressed. 4951

We keep 2 LC9 in the house mine has the laser mounted under the trigger . Fits perfect in ankle holster. @Retired_Engineer I wonder if the new pro you speak of has a better trigger pull because these are quite long . 4951

@staylifted:  Oh, Yes Sir/Ma'am.  The LC9 is a recoil-partially assisted double-action trigger with a hammer.  Not too bad once you get used to it.  However, Ruger then came out with the LC9s which is striker-fired instead of hammer fired.  This reduced both the trigger pull length and a little bit on the force needed.  The external dimensions remained the same, but they improved the internal mechanisms.  This is a picture of an LC9s.Note that the trigger also was changed to a trigger safety like Glock and many others are using.  For some reason, Ruger still retained the tiny safety lever near the back of the slide.  I always keep this safety on fire because it is too small to manipulate quickly.  They did get rid of the chamber loaded lever on the top of the gun and modified the extractor so that it also functions as a chamber loaded indicator.For the LC9s Pro, they finally got rid of the redundant (and too small) safety lever near the rear of the slide.  The trigger safety has become industry-accepted so there is no need for an additional safety, which can accidentally lock your trigger at a critical point.  Ruger also eliminated the magazine disconnect in the LC9s Pro.  A magazine disconnect means that if you remove the magazine from the gun, but still have a round in the chamber, you cannot fire it until the magazine is reinserted.  With the LC9s Pro, you will still be able to fire that last round while retrieving another magazine.The LC9s came out and gun shops stocked up on them due to the high demand.  Then shortly afterward, Ruger came out with the LC9s Pro.  You can find the LC9s Pro, but many dealers are trying to sell off their stocks of LC9s's before they stock too many LC9s Pros.  Note: since the external dimensions remain the same, all holsters/concealed carry devices fit all three models just fine.  The magazines are also the same for all three models.  Ruger's MSRP for the LC9s Pro is $369, but you should be able to find one for about $310-320.Even after I purchase an LC9s Pro, I plan to keep my original LC9. It's still a fine gun and I keep a few guns stashed around the house.

So many stories I have heard that women leaving there purse at a distant from them while doing a task in pubic etc... To me its a bad idea to have your gun in your purse for vast amount of reasons... Do a roll play, where you have a gun in your purse and you will see for yourself  with issues on your daily task that if something would happen where are you and your purse?Defend yourself by having bra gun holster.Having a gun on you is your BEST bet with purse thefts each day and the holidays coming up its going get worst and if you purse get stolen, you just put a gun in someone else hands and if that gun kills someone child etc... Just amagine for moment you have to live that.Ladies, just take a look at the idea I offer.My wife uses it with a Glock 42 and she has learned to reach in and pull down and shoot in under 3 seconds. she likes it because it cant be seen and is comfortable.
