So there is all this crave about YETI coolers. I've considered investing but its a big hole in the wallet to get one of these. I ran across K2 coolers out of Louisiana which offers a clearance deal that got me tempted. Then I ran across the Bison coolers. This seems to be the best route. Does anybody have any other input on these high cost coolers? 4951
Our guide in Colorado used a Grizzly cooler. He put in some cold water bottles and cold sandwiches with no ice. The water and sandwiches stayed cool even in direct sunlight in July.We primarily use a small cooler in our car/truck when we travel. We have a small Coleman that cost probably $25. The smallest YETI cooler is the Roadie 20 at around $250. I can buy a LOT of ice with the $225 difference. Even the Grizzly 20 costs $240.While I applaud the insulation capability of the YETIs, Grizzlys, etc., I would find it hard to justify the outrageous costs for them. YETI has a very good marketing campaign that makes it "cool" to own a YETI. As more companies match their quality, the competition will drive prices down. 4951
