Hopefully will be the day I can get these stitches out!! 14 days ! I so want my hand again. One another note it doesn't look like severe damage to muscle or tendons. Won't know for sure til they are out and I can fully test my hand! 4951

Great news, I've had surgery for carpul tunnel syndrome in both hands several years ago and  you don't realize how much you need your hands until you can't use them. Just getting dressed or even the bathroom and it's a real chore. 4951

Exactly. Putting on my bra was one of the hardest task! Trying to at least use my fingers as much as possible to exercise the tendons and muscles. You never understand just how many nerves are in the hand until a dog tries to take it off! I'm just thankful he only snapped at me. If he would of attacked God only knows what. 4951

Two weeks ago tomorrow a friends dog decided he didn't wanna be kenneled and tried to remove my hand. Drs haven't wanted to remove stitches yet because of the severity of it. I'm very lucky tho at least so far I can move my fingers. Just more worried I might not be able to have full control of it. Tomorrow I will find out once they remove these annoying stitches Emoticon 4951

@angiekaye: Wow that sucks.  Do you need anything or help with anything?  I hope everything turns out great tomorrow.  It had to have been bad for them to put stitches because usually they don't stich dog bites for fear of infection. Good luck tomorrow.  Let us know how it goes.

Thanks I'm good specially with my 4 big strong men in the house. And that's exactly what the dr said that they don't stitch dog bites and yes it was. Not to be gross for the weak stomached but the entire inside of my hand was out! But dr said it looks great no signs of infections. It's also why instead of only 10 days as the norm for stitches they are making me go 14-15 4951
