Has anyone seen a raccoon running around with a square object, maybe wood, around its neck? Photo is attached if anyone knows what this is. I cannot get close enough to figure out what it is. Poor raccoon will choke to death if it doesn't get help soon. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Everyone knows you can't eat what you name

@Fallon: Grew up a country boy, we raised chickens and rabbits, to eat. we named them all, and I butchered them and ate them.
Not an issue. 4951

@donnatella:  I used something similar several years back.  I took it down after two cardinals died in it just a few days apart.  Apparently, the birds find their way into the glass jar, but then get disoriented and maybe overheated and can't find their way out.
