You people just don't get it and you certainly don't know him. You are taking the things he says completely out of context.
He is not anti-police. He is anti-corruption, in individuals and in the system. And his sentiment is that, if the powers that be continue allowing the system to remain corrupt, people are going to start retaliating. Is he personally going to retaliate? No!
I have had my own dealings with a corrupt and unjust system, on more than one occasion. Am I going to retaliate? No. But I am not really surprised when other people do. Do I think it's the right way for those people to handle it? No.
Are you truly grieving the loss of a man you've never met, just because the media told you to? Sure, I feel sympathy for family members, who I have also never met, the same way I do when I see pictures of children refugees washed up on a beach in Europe. There are wrongful deaths everywhere, in every walk of life. One is not more wrongful than another. A child killed in the crossfire of a police raid at the wrong address is also unjust. But it is not punished or mourned by the masses the way this is. A life is a life.
That said, I don't follow a lot of news closely. So I'm not trying to cite any specific examples. What I do follow closely is my home life. And I know for a fact that the man I know and love is no danger to anyone. Except to the person who tries to bring harm to his family. That AR you see pictured (that someone said was repulsive and macho), he bought to protect his family. And he is doing his best to familiarize his wife and his step-daughter with that and other weapons. It is a necessary survival skill. He is a CHL holder and a responsible, law-abiding gun owner.
Anyone who thinks or says differently is just trying to look for a villain and stir up ****. Just because he is matter-of-fact and "awake" does not make him cold-hearted or crazy or violent. I would not be with him if he were any of those things. 4951
