I was moving some stuff around in my shed this afternoon, and thought it was better to kick a pile of wood to move it over instead of re-stacking it by hand. I clearly misjudged the weight of the wood because it didn't budge very far and one of the thinner pieces hit me directly on the big toe. I'm sure the manly yell I thought I let out sounded more like a little girl, and I may have even peed a little. Upon further inspection of the damage, my toenail was about 75% separated from my toe. No bones were broken, which is awesome, but my doc wants me to go see a podiatrist tomorrow. They'll probably have to fully remove the entire nail, but he wanted to let them make that decision. Your moderator status is on hold until you learn that kicking a pile of wood might not have been the best decision you have made.

It was his wood.  He can kick it if he wants.  Not most men's first choice, but hey...to each his own. 4951

I break my toes crooked and back to straight several times a yr.
That sounds like it smarts. I've lost fingernails and that wasn't fun.
Tell the doc to have strict instructions that you must keep your feet up and be waited on as much as possible. 4951
