@2danesSince the original thread got locked, dude, and after reading your response, I literally felt compelled to reach out and continue my conversation, my friend....  First off, I personally do not ever recall correcting your Grammar or spelling, and if I did, or anyone else has, please do not take it to heart or personal, as I can all but assure you that it's simply meant in good, innocent fun....  I usually just post this in response:

....And to comment on the Blue Bell / "God Bless Blue Bell" signs and loyalty, Blue Bell has been a Texas tradition in most families and Texas communities since being founded in Brenham, back in 1907....  It's been a vital part of the economic draw not only in Brenham, but across state lines, and still very much is...  And in some families, my friend, generations have been employed with Blue Bell, and still are....  So, it's much significant than simply being about "ice cream" ....It's a part of Texas History....  Blue Bell was born and bred right here in Texas, per say, and us Texans, being the proud peeps in which we are, are just that, proud and appreciative of Blue Bell, and all that this company has done for Texas, our local communities, and for supporting Texas families for all of these years...To continue on with our talk, my friend, like I mentioned previously, my husband and I were most fortunate to be stationed at Camp Pendleton, in California, for 3 years, and I recall only mentioing how beautiful it was in Cali...  And how lovely the weather always was....  We were blessed and met all kinds of righteous people back in our Cali days, some originally from around the state, and some just like us, most fortunate to be stationed in such a beautiful environment....  I loved it there, dude...  We lived in Oceanside pre-Iraq deployment, and then in Carlsbad when my husband returned, and we frequented San Diego, La Hoya, and kicked it in Del Mar a many a blessed day....  I don't know who's been knockin' on you for being from Cali, but in all honesty, dude, knowing everyone on here like I, and like you should, it's just pickin' in good fun, just like we do to @mm4731 , who's a fellow Cali transplant, and my good friend.... And with that being said, we Texans are good, decent, honest, friendly, neighborly and very proud people....  And we just want people to appreciate the great state of Texas, as we do, especially if it's providing the means to support your family, considering that your own home state could not....  As I read your reply, dude, my heart honestly felt somewhat sad....  I genuinely think you're homesick.....  And I think that since you mentioned, "So many bad things happened to my family since we lived here that never ever hallened to us in Cali," it just seems that perhaps you're going thru some stress, you're lonely, homesick, missing your family, friends and familiar environment, and are angry, sad, hurting and lashed out.....  I'm sorry, as I know what being homesick feels like, but we are your friends here, and a pretty damn support group to say the least....  It's also human nature and completely understandable, if in-fact this is the case...  As for Political viewpoints, I'm for GOOD PEOPLE.....  And for Positive, Uplifting, Honest peeps, whether you're Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or voting for Deez-Nuts... Let's drop the ***king labels, and just get back to being good, responsible, honest, caring, loving stewards of this beautiful planet we all call home....

@herron1345: I corrected her grammar after the rant about Bluebell and Texas being fat.  I meant it as a joke but it was not taken that way.I have had a ton of crap happen to me in Texas that has never happened to me in the other states but I have never publicly bashed this state or the vast majority of people in it.

@RogueHippEEDude, there is no doubt that you didn't mean it in anything but good, innocent fun....But I'm thinking that maybe if she's had some situations recently arise, and is homesick, and in an emotional, stressful state, then perhaps she took your joke to heart and lashed out.....  My friend, her comments were, in my own words, "unnecessary," and that's why I started the original thread bringing her remarks to light.....   We are all human, and each of us make human mistakes, myself very much included, and say **** that we wish we could take back....  And maybe this was simply one of the unfortunate incidents.....

I never called anyone fat. I said Texas has a issue with overweight people. That's true. Very true. I never called anyone fat. People can eat as much ice cream as they want. I don't care. We moved here from Temecula Ca. We never had bad crime there . We felt safe and there was so many fun things to do there. The beach and snowboarding and all the fun theme parks. Here it can be so boring. . You can go to the zoo and splashtown so many times. If I came off as a beeotch im sorry but that person that always corrects grammer drives me insane and I can't stand them. It made me so **** and I started talking crap. I know some people get off on making others feel like idiots. If someone is rude to me im going to be rude back. I know it's better to ignore them. Getting mad is giving them the reaction they want. I don't care about politics and religion. I was born and raised in Cali and I do miss it very much. I miss all the fun stuff there was to do and the diversity of people. Yeah we could move back but it would cost so much to move. Maybe one day. And to the person that thinks I have had other names. Ive only had 2danes. Sorry to burst your bubble. So their-there -theyr'e!! 4951

@2danes: I can honestly say I was just trying to make light of the situation.  The whole country as a whole has a problem with obesity.  Maybe we were both having an off night.  I have been in Texas off and on for most of my life.  I moved back when my daughter got sick.  Since being back my house has been broken into and I was raped-which is the main reason we moved away while still residing in Texas.  Everyone in my family is obese except for me.  I see them struggle on a daily basis.  Some live in Texas now, but not all.  I guess what you wrote struck a nerve and I apologize if you took the grammar remark as though I was bashing you.

And btw: since I just revealed why we truly left, did you know it takes up to a year or longer for a rape kit to be evaluated in our "great" city/state?  4951

You'll find sucky people everywhere. You gotta weed them out.

I'm the delete button princess.
Come in peace or don't come.
Cause this yankee ain't got no time for drama.

Good people are out there, hell I think we're a rockin fun group.
I find that more people are so stressed out trying to make a living to the perfection the see in gifs that they are forgetting to live.

Ya see I like me, I love doing what pleases me and I'm busy doing that. I do it at my pace. I make time to get an hour with my dh before work, tending my gardens, animals and home. Doesn't leave much time for what doesn't please us.

Texas isn't where I'll be resting, hasn't always been kind but neither has any other place been 100% perfect.

@RogueHippEE:

So sorry to hear you were raped. During a home invasion?
You've had illness and now this?
Recently? Again, so sorry girl!
