@2danesSince the original thread got locked, dude, and after reading your response, I literally felt compelled to reach out and continue my conversation, my friend.... First off, I personally do not ever recall correcting your Grammar or spelling, and if I did, or anyone else has, please do not take it to heart or personal, as I can all but assure you that it's simply meant in good, innocent fun.... I usually just post this in response:
....And to comment on the Blue Bell / "God Bless Blue Bell" signs and loyalty, Blue Bell has been a Texas tradition in most families and Texas communities since being founded in Brenham, back in 1907.... It's been a vital part of the economic draw not only in Brenham, but across state lines, and still very much is... And in some families, my friend, generations have been employed with Blue Bell, and still are.... So, it's much significant than simply being about "ice cream" ....It's a part of Texas History.... Blue Bell was born and bred right here in Texas, per say, and us Texans, being the proud peeps in which we are, are just that, proud and appreciative of Blue Bell, and all that this company has done for Texas, our local communities, and for supporting Texas families for all of these years...To continue on with our talk, my friend, like I mentioned previously, my husband and I were most fortunate to be stationed at Camp Pendleton, in California, for 3 years, and I recall only mentioing how beautiful it was in Cali... And how lovely the weather always was.... We were blessed and met all kinds of righteous people back in our Cali days, some originally from around the state, and some just like us, most fortunate to be stationed in such a beautiful environment.... I loved it there, dude... We lived in Oceanside pre-Iraq deployment, and then in Carlsbad when my husband returned, and we frequented San Diego, La Hoya, and kicked it in Del Mar a many a blessed day.... I don't know who's been knockin' on you for being from Cali, but in all honesty, dude, knowing everyone on here like I, and like you should, it's just pickin' in good fun, just like we do to
@mm4731 , who's a fellow Cali transplant, and my good friend.... And with that being said, we Texans are good, decent, honest, friendly, neighborly and very proud people....  And we just want people to appreciate the great state of Texas, as we do, especially if it's providing the means to support your family, considering that your own home state could not.... As I read your reply, dude, my heart honestly felt somewhat sad.... I genuinely think you're homesick..... And I think that since you mentioned, "So many bad things happened to my family since we lived here that never ever hallened to us in Cali," it just seems that perhaps you're going thru some stress, you're lonely, homesick, missing your family, friends and familiar environment, and are angry, sad, hurting and lashed out..... I'm sorry, as I know what being homesick feels like, but we are your friends here, and a pretty damn support group to say the least.... It's also human nature and completely understandable, if in-fact this is the case...  As for Political viewpoints, I'm for GOOD PEOPLE..... And for Positive, Uplifting, Honest peeps, whether you're Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or voting for Deez-Nuts... Let's drop the ***king labels, and just get back to being good, responsible, honest, caring, loving stewards of this beautiful planet we all call home....    Â
