"I personally think Blue Bell is nasty. If we eat ice crem its Dryer's or 31 flavors. It's funny how upset people were they couldn't eat there ice cream. Texas has a bad problem with over weight people. It must of been a living hell for them not being able to eat there ice cream."    "I know your life revolves around this website. I can just see you sitting in front of the computer 24/7 eating Blue Bell talking crap to people on here. Your so tough. Get a life. Go eat your ice cream. I could give 2 ****z if I spell a word wrong by accident. . .  Hurry your bowl of Blue Bell is waiting..."@2danesI really hope that you were just mad PMS'n here, dude.....  This was all completely unnecessary, and I have no clue after reading the thread in it's entirety what made you flip into ignorant, nasty-***** mode....             I shouldn't have to tell you that just because you, or anyone else for that matter, may be a size 2, have fake *******, a fake tan, and/or a fake bleached grin, that doesn't make you pretty...or lovely....or sexy...or attractive....it simply makes you FAKE....                            I also lived in Cali for three years when my beautiful husband was stationed at Camp Pendleton, and I can reassure everyone on here that NOT everyone in/from Cali is some ragin' health-nut, totally self absorbed, skinny-as$, fake, vain *****.... And if you and yours relocated here from Cali in order to make a living, I think a little Gratitude and Appreciation for the great state of Texas is in order.....  Or are you just not appreciative, even when you are blessed and allowed to live a beautiful, lovely life? Everyone on here has always treated you with respect, kindness and friendship @2danes , so your comments are very disappointing, especially considering they're coming from a supposed intelligent adult......

This makes me sad. Hope it was a bad day for him/her. Words do hurt- and really in the long run- why bash? I'm not an ice cream fan so did not suffer Blue Bell withdrawal but had empathy for those who love the brand. @2Danes- I hope tomorrow is a better day for you- please don't bash- words hurt 4951

I gotta say, that thread darkened my outlook with its ugliness. I'm a Texas transplant of less than a year, and I'll admit, there are some things that Texans dearly love that I just don't get, Blue Bell and Whataburger being two of those.  I personally don't understand the fascination with Blue Bell, but I wasn't raised with it.  Native Texans would probably shake their heads at my love of A warm Krispy Kreme donut or a bag of benne wafers. I think we all gravitate to what feels like home to us. That being said, however, I can't figure out how a person can go from a comment on ice cream to fat-shaming and age-shaming someone else who happens to enjoy a brand of ice cream. @2danes, I don't know you, and I have no idea what might be going on in your life that would make you behave so hatefully.  I will say this, however, while you judge others in life who you think are too fat or old, you don't know what our struggles are either.  I used to be a size 2. I could eat anything I wanted and not gain a pound.  Then I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder that affects my GI tract and my joints, requiring that I take steroids to reduce inflammation on a regular basis.  Between the steroids and the fact that even walking is a struggle some days, you can safely assume that I'm not a size 2 anymore.  It's just the way life is for me now, my new normal.  I got on KDC when we first moved here about a year ago, as a way to connect with the community, learn about it and what is available here, and to try to make this place home to me.  I have enjoyed my time on this site.  I may not post as much as some do, but I always enjoy reading the comments, suggestions and funnies that others post. There are some genuinely good folk who use this site.  What have any of them done to you for you to be so ugly?  I have news for you, if the Lord lets you live long enough, you'll be over 50 some day. And some day you might just find yourself larger than a size 2. I hope when/if that day comes you find yourself surrounded by people who are kinder to you than you've been to those on this forum, and I hope you look back and remember this.   4951

Wow must have missed something.
I just read this thread to my dh.
He responded by saying, maybe they thought they were on that other site that encourages people to be ugly.

I love this site, the people that post here know how to be fun and be serious as adults when necessary.

Lol the last time I was a size 2 I was 35 years old. That was 20 years ago. I have no delusions about my metabolism as I age.

Shaming anyone for anything is wrong.
Shaming someone for a brand of ice cream they like? Juvenile, more like pre school.

Before engaging mouth, slip your toes in another's shoes and walk their walk.

For those who like their Blue Bell, ( not my preference) but for those that do, enjoy it.
Let the haters hate. 4951

@beadweaver: Lol I was never a Size 2- went from youth straight into size 8. I'm over 50 and weigh more than I should. I don't care how active you are ( I have been teaching fitness for over 20 years!!) when you (ESP women!!!) start to approach middle age your metabolism slows. I am certainly proof of that. And since there's only 1 alternative to aging ( death) I will take the extra weight and never give up being active or trying to take the weight off.
Yeah her words hit home for me and I just try to remember maybe she's having a bad time or just cant find a positive in her life right now. Most people who lash out like that usually feel worse about themselves and put others down in an attempt to feel better about themselves
So that being said Everyone have a super. Fantastic day!! I'm taking this over 50, overweight body ip to the gym to teach a cycle class!

She was on the trump supports thread saying how she doesn't post much because people are mean and then proceeded to be mean. Pot meet kettle. Hopefully things go better for her. Rogue hippie is one of the nicest and funniest poster. 4951

Most people dont understand weight issues are typically not an eating too much food issue as much as a symptom of an underlying condition most drs dont care to help you fix.Find and fix  the system of your body that is out of whack and you will drop pounds without fad diets and killing yourself exercising too much.As far as 2danes, she has been on the forum under several names always trashing Texas and pro california everything. She is who she is but even though Im only about 20 to 30 pounds over weight I am getting quite **** at our societies weight bashing. Havent met anyone that wants to be that way. And if people in california are skinnier I highly doubt its due to healthy eating and more their cost of living......lol!!! 4951
