My bp has been spiking I tried everything from apple cider vinegar to cold water showers. I have been monitoring my bp every day and the meter shows a good drop in bp over 2 weeks. I am not on any rx but I am borderline diabetic.. Studies show this supplement helps with BP.. If your in the same boat on no RX you may want to check this out. Kroger sells their brand for $8 100 mg pills. Buy 1 get 1 free.went from a high 149/93 a week ago morning reading to 128/76 this morning drinking coffee too. 4951

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a substance similar to a vitamin. It is found in every cell of the body. Your body makes CoQ10, and your cells use it to produce energy your body needs for cell growth and maintenance. It also functions as an antioxidant, which protects the body from damage caused by harmful molecules. CoQ10 is naturally present in small amounts in a wide variety of foods, but levels are particularly high in organ meats such as heart, liver, and kidney, as well as beef, soy oil, sardines, mackerel, and peanuts. Coenzymes help enzymes work to digest food and perform other body processes, and they help protect the heart and skeletal muscles.CoQ10 is typically prescribed as a supplement to any statin drug (which deals primarily with the liver), such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol medications. Are you watching salt intake? Is there a family history of it? Are you keeping weight within normal range? My dad had it BAD. After he hit his 40's. And he was active, thin and ate no fast food or junk. It was called essential hypertension. It had no real physical cause. But it could only be controlled with meds. But start with the staples, checking to see if  there's a expected physical cause. But if it's hereditary, there's only so much you can do. 4951
