What?? I beg to differ. We have a beautiful malamute that is an inside doggie. She is one of the best doggies I have ever had. They can't be left outside its way too hot here. This baby was probably trying to find water.
@angiekaye: Huskies have two coats that allow them to be comfortable in all seasons, but like all dogs need shade and a way to get off the ground in the heat of the day. They also shed once or twice a year (I don't remember). Our husky destroyed the house both inside and outside as a puppy, and did calm down later in life, but still always wanted to be outside (and escape via any means possible). Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend a husky pup for anyone that didn't have lots of outdoor space to roam and more playtime than most working folks can commit. Great dogs and personality, but lots more energy than most folks can handle, at least in my case.
