There are so many accidents between Humble and the Beltway. People enter the freeway at high speeds trying to merge left to get around the folks moving to the right to exit. Part of the problem is the design of our exits and entrances. And I often see people drive right up within a hundred feet of the beltway exit ramps and put on a signal and try to merge and cut in line. Causes great rear end bashups.
@Chrisinkingwood:
I dislike having to travel without really looking at the route. The get on the right to be on the left in 1/4 mile to flip to the right and back is the cause. Nobody's ever in their right lane. Let's not talk about the short exit ramps, the I'm so much more important than you drivers, and the aggression.
One day coming back from the city, we were all rolling along, ok snailing along letting one in here and there and some douche ran the left side of the toad. How he did not bounce off the wall, or off the car he passed with a roar of a muffler spraying rock, road debris and dust I don't know. How the guy kept it steady as he came out of nowhere startling all drivers as you see everyone hit their brakes. He roared like that for about a quarter mile spraying all that road debris. I got all the way to the right and thought, he hits that wall it's gonna send him airborne in a roll spewing metal, glass and rubber.
I'm never in too much of a hurry. I kick back and cruise. Nobody just chills and cruises any more.
