Are any of you KDC folks members at The Clubs of Kingwood? If so, what is your take on it? I'm looking into joining. This will be my first country club experience. 4951

My husband and I are members and we love it. We go to dinner every Friday night and to the pool most Sundays. Hubby tries to golf at least once a month. We tool around on the tennis courts once in a while too. They have some great events too. We just went to a wine tasting dinner and had a great time. It's a great place to take friends and family when they visit too. We are really enjoying it.

Actually pretty reasonable as CCs go. It has lots of options for you and varying membership levels depending on what you will use. Initiation fee is pretty negotiable. 4951

@ET I agree.  Where I lived in NY, there were CC's with wait lists for 10+ years and $15,000 initiation fees, plus membership dues!  Not all were like that, but most required at least a $5,000 up front joining fee along with food and beverage minimums monthly along with membership dues.  Lots of Yacht Clubs by me were the same way.  I found KCC to be very reasonable, from what I am used to.  That being said, I am not sure how it relates to Texas as a whole in terms of price.  We do, however, find a lot of value in it.  We have used it a ton since we joined prior to the summer and really enjoyed the club itself as well as all the members we have met so far. 4951

The price is actually pretty good for the Young Executive. What's even better is that I get to expense it all through my employer since I will be using it to entertain clients. 4951

@allymansfield:

Yup back in NY it was exactly like that. KCC is a bargain in comparison. 4951
