No, I've upgraded my machines... I just would have liked to have done it for her as she did the stock basic upgrade. Now I have to go in and clean it up, set perimeters and default programs and set privacy stuff. Plus at 88 she is a bit on the slow end of the learning curve.
@Chrisinkingwood:  I'll give her a bunch of credit for at least learning some basics of computing.  Both of my parents considered them bad and said "they take peoples jobs".  They refused to even try one, even though I tried to explain PCs to them.  After my mom died, we wanted dad to have a cell phone he could keep on him.  During his last few months, he finally relented but almost never used it.
