Trump."Our latest national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely Republican Voters now think Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee next year, with 25% who say it’s Very Likely. That compares to 27% who felt a Trump nomination was likely two months ago when he formally announced his presidential bid, a finding that included just nine percent (9%) who said it was Very Likely."http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/trump_change 4951

There's a whole lot of miles ahead on the campaign trail, a lot can happen.I personally don't put a lot of stock in polls, especially this early but whatever.  Most of the polls are telephone based ones and call land lines which in this day and age are mostly older folks who might tend to be more conservative. We still have a strong 2 party system but to win the Presidential election a candidate needs to attract independent voters who don't claim party allegiance. I just don't see that with Trump. 4951

Well, Trump believes in hard work, in fact, he's constantly working.  I can't see him being soft on the lazy class that wants to sit back and collect a check.  I see him putting serious limits on that.  He knows how to wheel and deal, so I see him rolling up his sleeves and working better with Congress instead of Nobama's "my way or the highway" attitude. I see him trying to repair some of the anti-American damage that has been done over the last several years, and getting very serious very quickly over the policies and ideals that are hurting America.  I see him calling bulls#1t when it is needed instead of playing PC word games with people who should be catered to or coddled. He might come across as a joke and a loud mouth, but seriously, look at the mess we are in now.  More of the same from either side isn't going to fix America.  We need the Anti-Obama and Trump, plus a very solid VP choice, very well could win.  Trump wouldn't be my first choice, but right now, we need something drastically different.  Someone needs to say "Nobama, You're Fired" and I think Trump has that phrase ready to go. 4951

Trump would be like better than Obama.  Cruz, Fiorina, Rubio, Walker, Carson, Paul, Perry would be better than Obama.  Even Bush and Christie would be better than Obama. 4951

I'm an independent and I believe a lot of independents are leaning towards Trump. Some people are just sick of these millymanding, weak PC correct lifetime politicians. I know Trump would be a better deal making leader. We have the Bergdahl mess, the Iran mess, fast and furious mess, the "you can keep your dr " mess , etc. Trump is a no bs type of guy. If he negotiated a deal with Iran or Russia , I'd have confidence it would be a great deal for America . Obama/Kerry deal puts us and Israel in danger. That's the kind of crappy deal they make. Now Obama wants to close Gitmo and bring terrorists on America soil and is thinking of giving Gitmo back to Castro.what an idiot. 4951

Early polls don't mean too much.  If it came down between Trump and Hillary..... hmmm, I certainly would NOT vote for Hillary.  Voting for Trump would take an effort. 4951

The question would be does Trump have any experience or knowledge in foreign affairs, if not how could he be a better deal maker? One thing for sure we don't want him to start another war, cooler heads prevail... 4951

I know what you're saying. Obama had no foreign affairs knowledge either. Trump could surround himself with the best cabinet. As we have seen from some presidents, they have advisors. Some are good and some are bad. I'm just not ruling him out yet just because he's arrogant or rude. 4951

I have to admit that I didn't really take Trump seriously at first... One BIG thing he has going for him, in my book, is that he's not a career politician! He tells it like it is and isn't afraid to give his thoughts and opinions on controversial matters (i.e. "anchor babies"). He will actually give direct answers to specific questions!! What are the odds!! Whereas, the others are so worried about being PC, they beat around the bush and never really give their views or direct answers to much of anything... DH and I were actually talking about the possibility of a Trump-Cruz ticket today... Should be interesting... 4951
