This happened about 10PM last night.
So I go out in the garage with the trash, turn the light on, stand on the side of my motorcycle to go throw the bag into the trash can. A big ol rat jumps out of the trash can onto the edge of the trash can. I'm like holy cow!And then it precedes to run around the edge of the trashcan towards me! It jumps, what looks like at me, lands on the motorcycle, runs down the motorcycle and then under the Corvette. So I'm thinking holy cow I must be out of rat poison. So I go over into the corner of the garage where I got the rat poison set up on on the wall there on fire break, like a two by four halfway up the wall, to go look at it. In there still a little bit left but I run into a spider web or something. I'm like ok I'll have to deal with it later. So I'm walking out and I feel something crawling up my leg. I look down and there's this big ol spider crawling up my leg. I'm thinking don't panic just brush it off, which I do. Then I'm like, ok turn the light off close the garage door I will deal with it later.
true story, my freaked just telling her thIs. She was like, you were only out there a few minutes.

Lol yeah - I would've been running down the street shrieking!! Not sure which would've been worse- the rat or the spider- I'm thinking the spider would edge the rat out. Rats will run away- the spider is ON you running away. And what if it's one of those nasty spiders with 10 billion babies????????? 4951

You just sealed your fate for taking out the trash for months to come if you lived at our house!

My shrieks would have broken every street light with loud explosive pops.
I would never ever make garbage again.

When I had my house in Atascocita I saw something hanging on the fence. My friend and I were on the back porch, I said wtf is that? I walked over and slapped it. This huge rat ran down the fence. I squealed and ran inside. 4951

About 2 years ago I was out on my second floor patio and checking my plants. Our drought was killing all my plants. It's around 9 and I decided I better at least give them a small drink. ( watering at night causes mold and shrooms)
As I go to check my hanging basket, something jumps out smacking me square in the forehead.
it hits the ground. I look just as a bat crawls under the rail and takes off. He hit me hard enough that I could feel where he hit me. Dh comes back and I told him. I kept looking to see if it bit me and saw nothing but kept asking my husband yo please look.
After the third time he smacked my forehead. Nope nothing but that red spot. 4951

@herron1345: WEll due to the arthritis in my hips, riding the bike has not been an option for a couple years now.
The vet, well it's a 68 convertible "project car" I have never gotten to. Sitt'n on jack stands in the garage.If the job was more secure right now, I would have it restored as a daily driver. If I could find someone who could do it reasonably.But getting DD through college is the number 1 priority at this time.So the reality is not as cool as it sounds. 4951

This looks a lot like spider, but it was dark brown, and it's abdomen wss about the size of a small grape, day maybe 1/2 inch. Looks huge crawling up your leg in a dimly lite garage at night.

@BooBear:

When we were in Woodland Hills my husband had one jump off a shelf in the garage onto his chest then it ran up his shoulder and took off. We got a rat trap and caught it a couple days later. Our cat also brings us rats every once in a while. These are cute little field rats, though, not big ugly sewer rats. 4951
