If I remember correctly, you should be able to see them anytime after dark, but it'll be slow action at first, building up to it's peak around 1 AM, when it could be up to 100 meteors per hour. 4951
When we lived in Ohio ( and before kids) hubs and I would lay out in the backyard just after sunset and watch them. Even with the light pollution you could see them- tins and tons of them- it was so cool 4951
