Maybe it's something that's been around for years but, I have to say, that's a new one for me! They are trying to raise awareness. And it looks like it's a page dedicated to raising awareness, and others decided to share it on their personal wall.
"Maybe it's been around for years" is right. Think about a time before formula. If a mother wasn't producing enough milk, how did she keep her baby from dying of starvation? And there is a well known bible story that talks about this. When Pharoah's daughter "adopted" Moses, she hired a wet nurse to feed the baby, and there were plenty from which to choose since Pharoah had ordered the killing of all of the Israelite baby boys. Not coincidentally, Moses' mother was the one she hired. The phrase, "it takes a village" is about much more than safety and discipline. It used to be about infant survival. 4951
