>> So those dudes at the x of WLH/NP that go up to cars looked in the window of my son's car, saw that he had a tote full of stuff and talked him into giving it to them. This happened in a matter of seconds at the stoplight!!!! Luckily, it was giveaway stuff after all, but it was mine! I asked him why he gave it to them and he said he didn't know because it all happenned so fast. WTH??? They totally took advantage of my teenage son's generosity, and ended up with my Rubbermaid tote!!! My boy feels terrible about it. He knows he shouldn't have done it but those people are ruthless. The guy told me he has to be out there til he meets his "quota" I went and got my tote back. ******s. Should I call HPD?
@topcat: It was a Rubbermaid tote, dude! I let them have the stuff, but I wanted my tote. That thing was like ten bucks, lol!
I think they are a legit charity so I didn't mind them having the stuff. It was kids books and they say they run a shelter for women and kids.
My teen got taken advantage of similarly last year (chalk it up to a lack of experience with the current human condition lol). He felt terrible for days afterwards, too.
HPD will do absolutely NOTHING unless the property was taken by force. Don't waste your time.
Did you really go and take your stuff back??
My hero!
@brightlights:
It was a *Rubbermaid* tote, dude. I may have let a Sterilite tote go, but not a Rubbermaid, lmao!
@beadweaver Yeah, I reminded him not to talk to those street panhandlers again, and assured him that it was ok cause he's young and he has to live and learn.
@mm4731 God Bless 'Merica!
