upgrade went smooth, no problems. Things are running well.....2 Down, 2 more to go....so far so good.Going to put the latest Linux version of Mint on an older box. Its the #1 distro on Distrowatch this month. I have not used it, will give it a try.Windows 10 I like very much. VERY MUCH, so I am gonna go full steam and do them all. So far everything works as before, printers, scanners, server etc.... no issues.... Boot up is slower but I figger it will speed up after everything settles in.... 4951

Wanted to add, time frame for the main new Dell computer was about 45 min for the upgrade, took a bit over an hour for the laptop with many reboots and long periods of nail bitting nuthin on the screen. Just leave it alone and let it do its thing.... 4951

My son went to Windows 10 and had only a couple of little minor issues that were quickly resolved.  I'm backing up everything right now and will make the jump to lightspeed either later today or tomorrow! 4951

@TXSunDvl:  that's one of the things I'm curious about.  If all else fails, there's always Firefox, Chrome, etc.

Edge browser.

@TXSunDvl: I am still using Opera and FIrefox. My only ***** with Edge is no ad blockers. You can utilize a read only mode which helps. THere will be extensions and add on coming. None available now, so I will use what works for me for now. Edge is good and fast tho...and works very VERY well with lots of really cool features.

@Ray:  We normally use Firefox and installed AdBlock Plus.  It works pretty well.

They are working on a 64bit version of Firefox. I just searched my task manager it said I am running a 32 bit version.  / www.pcworld.com/arti cle/2892016/first-64 -bit-firefox-build-r eleased-promisi explorer is 64 bit capable already. Follow the guys instructions. It should make your machine run faster if your running a 64 bit system.

I was wondering why task manager was showing the processor at 80% now its down to 20%. 64 bit lets your machine use more ram less of the processor. 4951

Well, I finished making copies of my files and started downloading Windows 10 to a flash drive.  It's been a little over four hours and I'm at 75%.   I know the USB 2 connection is probably slowing the process down, but I suspect Microsoft's servers are getting hit pretty hard since it's the weekend.  I did a speed test of my internet connection and I'm right at 50Mbps.  Both my and my wife's PCs are 64bit, so I'm looking forward to a bit more speed.  When I first got this PC, Windows 8 and 8.1 would boot up incredibly fast.  Now I have McAfee, Malwarbytes, and AdBlocker Plus and it runs a little slower than it used to. 4951

Downgrading to Windows 7 or 8.1 is easy with Windows 10

We think Windows 10 is
great, but if you've upgraded and don't like it, Microsoft offers a
fast and easy way to downgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1 and restore your old
system. Here's how to go back to Windows 7 or 8.1. See also: Windows 10 review
How to downgrade Windows 10: Before you begin
You have 1 month to go back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 after
installing Windows 10. So make sure you make up your mind before the
