My cousin sent a message to family.  She's asking for $3000 to cover the fee she has to pay to some charity group, so she can volunteer for them in Senegal.  She says this volunteer work will let her pay back the community.  She will teach poor children math and reading, and I'm sure she will also give them a healthy dose of liberal philosophy. It is always good to help people.  But she owes nothing to Senegal.  She could easily help poor children right here in America without having to pay $3000 up front.Good grief! 4951

They could go to parts of Houston and there are plenty of elderly people who need volunteers to help with holes in floors, no working plumbing, roof repairs. Charity should start at home but I understand those that want to go overseas. Congrats to her! 4951

@fcabanskiSend her a message back, dude, asking for only $3,000 to help fight and debunk Planned Parenthood....   Or to donate to The Wounded Warrior Project....  Or to the USO...                                                  Or The Fischer House.....       How about The Star Of Hope....   P.S. - I'm sure @lola could sure put a few bucks to good use helping out with her good deeds with Twylas...  "Paying back the community" starts at home....  And I double dog dare you to tell her just that!

She could give back by working at any of the homeless shelters/soup kitchens, Houston Food Bank or local United Way or Houston Area Women's Center shelters. There is more than plenty to do RIGHT HERE and all it will cost her is her time, effort and gas money. 4951
