@FoFa: Me too. I want to make sure I have a good backup of everything as it is now before I do it and I sort of want to wait a to see if there are any unforeseen issues. I run Windows 8.1 on my laptop and it seems from what I have heard it will be a lot like that with some older things that folks liked. My desktop is running W-7. I will miss the widgets, those little tools you can have on the side of your screen. I have one for the time, weather, calender, a currency converter and a calculator as well as several different weather ones for where my kids live around the country. Microsoft quit supporting Widgets after 7 and I guess you can have something similar with little apps. The other thing I want to watch for is how W-10 will effect other software I run. Will other software companies use the new OS as an opportunity to tell you that you need to upgrade in order to run their programs with the new OS.

@Chrisinkingwood: I know that pretty much happened with WIN 7, don't know about Win 8, didn't run it anywhere (well DD2 has it on her laptop, but I don't use her laptop).

I updated to Windows 10 yesterday, so far I'm really liking it.  Much easier to use than 8.1, I haven't had any problems yet.  I often had problems with the Explorer app and would have to switch to the desktop on 8.1, but the new browser Edge seems better, more intuitive.  No glitches with the install, nothing lost, went smoothly.  4951
