Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has died, according to family members.

The 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late singer Whitney Houston was found unresponsive January 31 in a bathtub in her home outside Atlanta. The extent of her injuries was not made public. In April, Brown's grandmother said Brown had "global and irreversible brain damage."

Police have said they are treating Brown's case as a criminal investigation.

When Whitney Houston died in 2012, she was also found in a bathtub. A coroner ruled her death an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors.

She's been dead for awhike, they finally let her go

@Stealth83: True. It's their $$$ and if they want to spend it to hope and pray for a miracle, against doctor's advice, then more power to them. Losing Mom and daughter the same way must have been just too much to bear, so they needed extra time. Grief sometimes takes over normal common sense actions. 4951

@sweetie: And a boyfriend with questionable background and connections. I don't know the whole story but I hear he was not a good influence. 4951

Don't have much sympathy for these over privileged spoiled brats who have everything they could ever want, and choose to throw it all away. 4951

@lcoupert: Apparently having fame and money does not equate to sanity or happiness.  There have been far too many from Jimi Hendrix to Elvis Presley to Michael Jackson that have self destructed.  I know it's quite difficult for ordinary folks like us to grasp.  Who wouldn't want several millions dollars and throngs of fans screaming their name?  It all sounds very intoxicating.  For too many it is.

@BooBear: Yes, they have people that love them but don't give a crap about those people that love them when they choose to end their life of fame and fortune, which is the life they chose.

@rocket: Yes, but what about those of us who didn't have their advantages, those of us who grew up with no money, struggled to make something of our lives, and went through a lot of tough times to make something of ourselves, those of us who probably had a reason to not go on because no matter how hard we tried, nothing ever worked out for us, yet we still kept going.

Celebs and their vices.   No pity on my side as being a millionaire wouldn't provoke me to suicide in my tub.  Just sayin'  ....... 4951

@TXtransplant:

How do you know it was suicide? Autopsy reports said she had bruises all over her face; friends said the BF abused her.... No one should jump to conclusions.

And even if it was suicide... It seems that Whitney was that girl's life. She lost her Mom and never had the coping skills to properly handle her grief. (My assumptions of course.)

Whatever happened. Regardless, it's very sad. 4951

It doesn't matter if she was famous or not, a spoiled rich kid or not, that's not the point... like anyone and everyone else, she had a family who loved her, and unfortunately she lost her mother too young... just the fact that a life is lost is sad. 4951

@lcoupert: You make valid points and it would take the wisdom of Solomon to adequately address them.  But I will try to take a stab at it.  Perhaps all is not what it seems.  We all have gifts and talents.  However it is society that decides that a person that can sing well is worth millions of dollars, while a person that has the gift of teaching is only worth a few thousand.  That said because the person that can sing has the ability to buy mansions, cars, jewelry, etc., does not make them any more immune from life's trials and troubles than the teacher.  The issues might be different but the will to overcome them or not is the same.
