Mangos dry pretty nicely, most available fruit, but some pit fruit (peaches, apricots, etc.) turn brown when dried. Doesn't hurt the taste however.Watermelon, kiwi's, strawberries not a fan dried. OK if used in something like yogurt or cereal, and watermelon takes awhile and almost totally disappears. (You have to try stuff ya know).raspberries, blackberries, those little seeded berries, don't dry to well, at least for me.Never tried grapes since raisins are easy to buy, and not real expensive.
@FoFa:
Can you slice the watermelon that thin and still have enough meat to dry? I had no idea you could. Only because it's 90% water. Seeded berries I don't think I'd like due to the seeds.
I would like to make my own jerky. I like a little softer and can only find a good one at Bucky's.
I'm really watching this thread. Thank you all for filling in the blanks I did not know I had.
