This is an antique broomstick threader.My uncle used to have one.You would place the broomstick in the funnel end, then twist the handle until it was threaded.His also came with a angle cutter in case the broom was a cone type pressure fit instead of threaded.They made larger ones for tools, like shovels, rakes, etc. 4951
