I recently moved from Kingwood to Huffman, in KW had Direct TV with a CRT 65" HD Mits. TV (16.9 screen, not 4.3), unfortunately, the TV didn't make the move (wouldn't turn on), so I trashed it and bought a new LG 65" LED Flatscreen, and now have Comcast. In KW, everything I watched filled the screen correctly, on both TV's, didn't have any issues, never thought about it, now, some channels have the black bars on top and bottom (like ch 13 news), other channels may fill the screen but looked stretched, like TMZ live right now fills my screen w/ no bars, but you can't read the story headlines they put on the left (they are off the screen, see just a cpl letters).Anybody smarter than me know why? Is it just cable vs Direct? Is it my TV change? Issue with the cable receiver (its doing it on my plasma in the BR as well)? Picture mode is on 16.9, which is what my Mits. was always on, you can put it on Zoom for the channels with black bars and although it fills the screen, it messes up the picture, and I don't believe you should have to do that, but may be wrong.I could call Comcast but I'm smarter than anybody I talked to over there so far (and you see from above how smart I am, lol).

You getting an HD signal? On Suddenlink we get both HD and standard channels. We need an HD receiver to convert the HD channels. 4951
