why turbinado sugar and evaporated cane juice rarely appear in the list of natural sweeteners
@Mahm: That is one of the issues with Paleo, if you think you are following it, "The Caveman Diet".Â
But Cavemen ate seeds (grains) if that was available.Their argument is Wheat and current grains were not available in the caveman days, but then they have a tendency to overlook cows. A cow would not have survived in the wild back then.A lot of domestic livestock would not have made it. And some "processed" foods are not bad, just because they are "processed", but if they add a bunch of crap, they might be.That's why I think (and I in no way claim to be an expert mind you) knowing the general guidelines of healthy eating is more important than the current fad diets. That said, diets set out a guide line that is easier to follow, or in other words, doesn't take as much work as actually reading a book on healthy eating. But it is not rocket science to take some fresh greens, wash them (organic or not) and saute them in a little healthy oil (like canola, olive, peanut, coconut or avocado as some examples) add a little salt, pepper, maybe some fresh garlic cloves (or garlic powder) and serve it up to know it takes less than 10 minutes and it is healthy and it is tasty. And that is way better than taking 20 minutes to fix a box of cheesy potatoes that are dehydrated. 4951
