Does anyone have any of these?  Are they worth it?  Things like the Nu Wave oven and stuff like that.  Just curious and I don't have room for more gadgets that don't do what they say! 4951

Just look them up on Amazon and read the reviews!!! Most As Seen on TV products are junk.The pocket hose is good, The My Fun Fish tank, and the Micro Touch One razor are the only ones I have found successful. I don't try them often as I usually assume the worst! 4951

My aunt makes terrific turkeys in the roaster that proclaims "set it and forget it." Max size is 11 or 12 pounds though. 4951

My parents had a Nu Wave oven for  awhile. Can't remember what happened to the first one, though it lasted for a few years; but with the second one it still worked but the handle broke.  4951

I keep saying I want the slicer dicer thingy that stores it too.
I had the mandolin slicer decades ago. When they say use the guard, they mean use the guard.

All of my foods are fresh goods that need prep so if I could do it 1-2- 3, I can have it faster.
My hands aren't as strong and limber as they used to be. Any gadget that can do it for me and is not huge bulky I can use.
I still will never own an electric can opener. They are all junk. 4951

@WskyTngoFxtrt:
Is that the rectangle one with changeable blades?

My issue is they give you two for one separate shipping.
I do want two, fruit and veggies.
I don't want to be on anyone's mailing list, or calling card.

Many, Many moons ago, when I was a kid, my mom bought one of these.It was actually pretty awesome, and even thought it was 1960's plastic, it held up very well.I think she sold it in a garage sale (yard sale in the south) when they retired in the late 80's 4951

Gadgets from the '60's were made to last! This junk today is made to break and be replaced. 4951

@FoFa:

lol I remember those.
I saw someone was advertising a buttoneer. I think it was the classified ads.

I have the glass jar that the chopper blades screw onto. It's from the 50's I think. It's still sharp and my dh giggles when I pull it out because,
1. He remembers them
2. I still have and use mine. Which I had found at a true junk store just sitting on the shelf in 95.

I like the idea of storing what I chopped right in the container by changing the lid.
Right now I do it. For easy grab and save time. I'm doing it by hand, it's the time consuming part of dinner.
I do a lot of stir fry because I like my veggies a little crunchy.

@djohn78: We do the same thing and they don't have to cook as long either.  Love it on Thanksgiving because I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to start cooking. 4951

I bought the green frying pans that are supposed to be awesome and you never even have to put Pam spray in it to cook and it's supposed to be so heathly for you and everything sticks to it.

I also have the shells that you put the tortilla's in to make taco bowls.  Those do work and my DD loves to eat her tacos like that.

I had gotten the pretzel maker but you had to literally burn yourself to use it so we returned it. 4951

@dotti573: I read you can make those by turning a muffin pan over too. I have never tried it though!

@djohn78:
These are much bigger than a muffin pan.  They remind me of giant sea shells. 4951
